Manawatu River

As the epicentre for agrifood tech and innovation, Palmerston North City and Manawatū was the first region in New Zealand to develop an agritech strategy to support its growth trajectory of becoming one of the top three global agrihubs in the world.

Due to the region’s diversified economy, the region is performing almost twice as well as the national economy, making it a magnet for business, investment and talent.

Global leaders such as The Factory, Sprout Agritech, Finistere Ventures, and FoodHQ, choose to base themselves in this vibrant city and resilient region. This is because of the more than 4,000 scientists who call it home as well as having venture capital, start-up and innovation ecosystem right at their fingertips.
