Telecommunications equipment company Huawei has joined the team of Techweek2020 supporters.
Huawei’s involvement in Techweek2020 is one of the ways they are celebrating their 15 year history in New Zealand.
“For the last 15 years Huawei has heavily invested in New Zealand and its technology sector, making a commitment to improve connectivity in our communities,” said Huawei New Zealand CEO Yanek Fan.
“Huawei is fortunate enough to have worked with New Zealand’s major telecommunications companies to deliver world-class telecommunications networks to achieve this, and we are excited to share the insights gained from Huawei and our partners at Techweek2020.”
“Technology is the key to unlocking a better future for New Zealand, creating a step change in industries from healthcare to agriculture. To succeed there needs to be investment in research and development, something Huawei are committed to. We know New Zealand’s tech sector is well placed on the global stage, and we look forward to hearing from speakers during Techweek about developments in their respective fields.”
Techweek Executive Lead Julie Gill welcomes Huawei’s support as an advocate partner of Techweek2020.
“Huawei’s commitment to creating a fully connected and intelligent world aligns nicely with Techweek’s goal of connecting our future,” said Gill.
“It is great to have this global provider supporting the New Zealand tech sector.”
