How many people live in your household?
One adult.
How many connected devices do you have in your house (total)?
Over 10 including computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, GPS devices, a home automation system and Google home.
Which connected device do you use the most often?
Laptop and tablet
If different from above, which is your favourite, and why?
My Garmin Forerunner is a great running watch with multiple GPS sources, maps, onboard music and sensors for just about everything.
What do you think will be the next connected device that you introduce into your household, and why?
A Roomba or equivalent smart vacuum because I think they’ve evolved to the point now where they are efficient, practical and useful.
Is there a piece of connected home tech that you don’t currently have, but you would like? (Either a device that already exists, or something that you would like to be invented)
A smart door lock that integrates with current security systems.
In your experience, what sort of impact has the rise of connected devices had on your life and/or household?
With better access to information and automated tasks, I can focus my time on things I enjoy.
What connected devices do you rely on most to do your job?
My laptop and tablet.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Connected device and service ecosystems are still fragmented and quite a few early platforms are being turned off with no ongoing support. The return on investment (ROI) for both suppliers and consumers is still hard to justify.
