Tackle ActInSpace’s challenges and unleash your entrepreneurial potential! ActInSpace® is an international innovation contest inspiring young women and men worldwide to meet challenges based on space technologies, date, patents and infrastructures to launch start-ups into all areas of our daily lives. Designed for students but open to everyone, the objective is to foster entrepreneurship, encourage start-up creation and promote the use of space technologies and space acquired data to change citizen’s lives, to boost employment and to protect our planet.

On the 25th May teams in 60 cities around the world will embark on a 24 hour hackathon, and because of international time zones, New Zealand will be the first country to kick this event off!

First prize is a trip to France to participate in the international finals and present your project to an international jury of experts on technology transfer and business development. All teams with promising projects will go on to receive guidance from ESA’s Business Incubation Centres and partner incubators to accelerate their project and turn their idea into a real company.

ActInSpace NZ 2018 is an event is organised by CSST in partnership with NZSA, MBIE and ChristchurchNZ with support from French Embassy.
