ArcAngels is NZ's only angel investment group that is dedicated to investing in top pedigree female founders and supporting them to build large and impactful businesses. Female founders play an important role in our innovation and entrepreneurial system, however AANZ research data shows that only 18% of angel investment went to female-led ventures in NZ in 2018. We want to provide a platform for female-founders to raise investment and provide a larger pool of capital that is available to them.
The event will kick-off with a panel session on "Lessons Learnt" from two experienced angel investors with a diverse portfolio.
Kate Lane: Kate is an Advisory Board member of ArcAngels and a Partner at MinterEllisonRuddWatts. Kate has invested in over 12 female-led start-ups in New Zealand, such as Sharesies, Limpidity and Humble Bee. In addition to her passion for angel investment, Kate is a serial art collector!
John O'Hara: John is the Chairman of Angel Association of New Zealand (which hosted diversity in investment themed Annual AANZ conference in 2018) and a Board Member of Ice Angels. John has invested in over 20 start-ups through Ice Angels, and is also on the board of a number of start-ups in New Zealand.
We will then hear investment pitches from four exceptional female-founders from different industry sector (kidney transplant, hotel management software, beautiful wine in can, and a tool to allow large brands to better understand their consumers).
We invite investors and female-founders to join us!
