When New Zealand went into lockdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, life was thrown into chaos as people and businesses looked at how to adapt to this new way of living and working. Technology took on a whole new level of importance to keep Kiwis connected and businesses operating, with many New Zealand launching a number of innovative products during this time. Hear from Jordan McCown, co-founder of RealAML, who built New Zealand's first anti-money laundering (AML) biometric FaceMatch to confirm a client's identity beyond a doubt during lockdown. This has enabled businesses who provide online services of all sizes and location to compliantly accept new customers and increase revenues, and provide a point of difference to their competitors. Also being interviewed is Frayne Cooke and Dr Sasha Kljakovic from Well Revolution, who launched New Zealand’s first mobile app-based GP consultation and prescription service in the week before level-4 lockdown. The app enabled Kiwis to message a doctor 24/7, get diagnosed and have prescription medication delivered to their home or nearest pharmacy.
