What's it all about?

Are you wondering what tech and non-tech IT careers are available, and how to get into them?  This session will demystify careers and job titles in the tech industry, making it easier for you to get to your dream job.  For a wide range of IT jobs, we will cover job titles, skills required, career path, salary, and how to get in.

The speaker Alan Kan has had 20 years in the tech industry, including 10 years at IBM. Having experienced many different roles in the industry, he has now co-founded Mission Ready to help graduates to gain work experience.

Each week during semester, the AUT Lunchtime ICT and Engineering Employer Lunchtime Series provides a platform for industry to connect with emerging young talent and for students to gain insight and awareness about the roles and opportunities there are in the tech sector.

For Techweek 2021 we are opening this event to the public to join students and alumni.

The AUT Lunchtime ICT and Engineering Employer Lunchtime Series is bought to you by AUT's School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences with support from the AUT Employability and Careers team.

You should be present for the whole duration of this event.
