What's it all about?

The New Zealand Tech and Innovation Story (Tech Story) is a marketing initiative designed to deliver a consistent and compelling way of promoting our tech and innovation capabilities to the world. 

To keep pace with the changing world, the Tech Story is being refreshed to support our tech businesses internationally - growing tech exports, attracting investment and tech talent.  

This TechWeek TV session you will get the opportunity to hear from industry leaders with their views on the growth of NZ’s tech industry, changing international perceptions towards NZ and how a tech story can benefit tech businesses

Hayley Horan

Tech Sector, Lead Coalitions & Sectors Team

Hayley leads New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s Global Tech Sector as part of the Sector & Coalitions team.

She joined NZTE in 2015 as a Customer Manager, before taking up a secondment as Trade and Commercial Adviser based in Dubai. Most recently, Hayley was New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner to Singapore, where she spent time growing the tech sector.

Partner, One Picture

Nathan Farmer is a Partner at One Picture. Over the last decade Nathan has worked closely with New Zealand Story to build our understanding of how the world sees us and the story we need to tell (beyond just our natural beauty) to raise our profile and consideration, and be known for more ‘good things’. He also works closely with many of NZ’s leading exporters to help them find their uniquely NZ story and voice.
