NFTs (non-fungible tokens) have recently taken the art world by storm. Making superstars out of niche digital artists and highlighting just how much money exists in the crypto sphere (Beeple’s ‘Everydays: The First 5000 Days’ was sold for US$69.3 million), it’s reignited popular interest in blockchain. But why exactly are NFTs so exciting?
Aaron McDonald and Brooke Howard-Smith will discuss how there’s way more to NFTs than a brief art hype, what real-world use cases exist and where the technology will likely lead. They will also be touching on other key concerns around NFT’s impact on the planet and how you can get involved in utilising NFTs.
Aaron is a 20 year tech industry veteran with experience leading teams across all aspects of a technology company. Aaron has held leadership positions in large technology companies managing portfolios over $1b in value across engineering and architecture, product management, product development, marketing and sales.
