Atuatanga Virtual Reality Game

Te Kura Māori o Porirua, Wharekura Rangatahi, teachers and whānau, nau mai haere mai! Atuatanga the Virtual Reality gaming experience will be playing for two days at Te Kura Māori o Porirua during Techweek, on the 23rd and 24th of May.

THE GAME: Atuatanga VR will take players into a post apocalypse world where, after the destruction of the world at the hands of man, the Atua have gone into hiding. The Turehu, a fairy being, helps the player to re connect to the Atua, but there will be difficult trials to overcome in this mission to save humanity. Atuatanga VR is the first full length virtual reality game in Te Reo Māori (with subtitles) of its kind.

Oculus 2 and Oculus 3 Headsets, virtual hand technology to navigate the game.
