Keeping safe online

NB: This event has been cancelled due to Covid and we are encouraging those who were going to participate to register for the TDC Library event on Saturday the 21st which is a similar topic.

If you’re online you need to be scam-savvy. While being online brings many benefits, it’s important to know how to keep yourself as safe as possible from scammers. Don’t miss this highly informative session, led by ANZ Taupō Branch Manager, Luke Woods.

We are living in a digital age, which brings many benefits such as keeping in touch with family across the globe. However, it seems that almost every week there’s a new scam circulating and older people can often be a target demographic. Scammers are using increasingly sophisticated systems and plausible stories in a bid to access our confidential information and bank accounts.

Come along to hear ANZ Taupō Branch Manager, Luke Woods speaking on this important issue. Learn how to spot a scam, keep yourself as safe as possible from scams and what to do if you do fall victim to a scam. Lots of opportunity for questions and discussion. We look forward to seeing you there!
