General Manager
With over twenty years of IT recruitment experience, Steve joined the Absolute IT team in 2004 and hasn't looked back. His role as National General Manager is to lead the team across New Zealand, who are committed to making a difference for their candidates and clients and keeping Absolute IT as New Zealand’s IT recruitment partner of choice.
Steve is passionate about people and the role that people play in the industry. The “He Tāngata” proverb has always held a special resonance for him:
What is the most important thing in the world?
He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata – It is the people, it is the people, it is the people
Having stumbled into IT recruitment by accident over twenty years ago, Steve has never failed to be amazed by the difference technology makes in our everyday lives and the phenomenal impact it has on the New Zealand economy. "I believe that there is the opportunity for generational change for the better through the kiwi tech industry and am excited by our role in supporting this change."
