Taitamariki Potentia: World Café III

Those who have joined us at previous Taitamariki Potentia events will remember our World Cafe-style networking evenings…and we’re back with our third one during Techweek2022.

Much like previous editions, rangatahi will break off into smaller groups and rotate around a series of tables (each hosted by an industry expert). But this year, we’re taking a closer look at something that all of us have struggled with at one time or another: setting your career up for success at different stages of the student journey.

Each table will focus on a particular part of the student lifecycle, from high school to institutions of higher learning and beyond. As well as taking away learnings and tips about your next steps, separating the tables like this also gives you the platform to share your own experiences with those more junior than yourself.

On the night, we’ll be covering:

- Career options at high school

- Career aspirations in your first year of university or higher learning

- Getting ready for internships in years 2/3

- Preparing for a job in your final year of studies

- Career planning after graduation
