Meet the just launched framework to help NZ, its business and organisations meet our net zero targets
21 May, 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM
Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland
Climate Change Minister Hon Simon Watts recently launched the framework for New Zealand’s first climate technology roadmap, with support from Technology Minster Hon Judith Collins.
Developed by NZTech with support from Spark and in partnership with MBIE and MfE, it reflects the perspectives of hundreds of New Zealand businesses and other organisations as to what is possible if we get our sustainable tech act together.
New Zealand is not on track to meet the emissions reductions targets it has agreed to internationally. Yet digital technologies have the potential to achieve 40% of these reductions.
The event will outline how the roadmap can get us there and give organisations a steer on some of the climate tech steps they can take to reduce emissions to more effectively achieve net zero.
We will hear from the United Kingdom how roadmaps have contributed to their emissions reduction success, and also from New Zealand businesses already making progress with climate tech in their organisations.
