Kate joined the Summer of Tech whānau in 2022 to support employers and sponsors. She works with them to understand their needs, and helps them hire, empower and retain juniors - growing their teams & creating a sustainable pipeline of talent for the future.

Head of Development at Umajin

Mark started as a Senior Software Architect before moving into Project and Engineering Management around 10 years ago. He now guides a multi-disciplined team of experts in their respective fields such as Software Developers, Designers/Creatives and Quality Assurance experts.

Umajin is based in Palmerston North and also has small team working out of Boston, Massachusetts. Umajin specialises in mobile app development, user interaction, 3D rendering & animation, machine vision and IoT.
